AWAKENING THE ARTIST

An intensive deep dive 4 week Soul Journey of self discovery and creation of your very own Divine Essence portraits. You will learn to paint realistic portraits using the full rainbow of skin tones, facial features, and completing powerful masterpieces using gold leaf, texture, and acrylic pouring (Linzy’s “rule breaking” style). You will learn how to both accurately and very easily create portraits using photos, and also to paint without a reference; from pure intuition and imagination. Class 1 ~ Mixing colour, acrylic blending, and painting with the rainbow of skin tones in warm and cool light - using a photo reference; paint the side profile and complete the first layer of our first portrait!

Class 2 ~ Adding background elements: gold leaf, acrylic pouring (Linzy style), adding texture, layers of colour, symbol and metaphor as you complete your first portrait

Class 3 ~ Intuitive portrait sketching in acrylic. Mix your tones using only 3 colours! Blending in layers and using your intuition to guide you. Transforming a sketch into a realistic portrait; straight from your imagination.

Class 4 ~ Connect with your Divine Essence as you compose your next portrait - harnessing the power of your visualization and imagination through a series of powerful creative meditation practices, and using your dreamtime to fuel your creative expression. LINZY ARNOTT

is an international, published, award winning, self taught artist who has been represented in galleries since she was 16 and has been a full time artist since 2011, creating and selling over 2200 paintings. Linzy discovered early in life that the power of art held a depth and level of self expression that far outweighed what she could express through words. During a life defining moment in an art museum in DC at 19years old, Linzy became keenly aware that the intention and energy poured into a painting was even more powerful than what a painting looked like, and that this intention could literally touch and heal hearts as it did for her that day. Linzy has been on a soul searching mission since then that has led her to Peru and around North America, to learn from healers, shamans and mystics. To learn about the power of energy and intention and how to channel pure inspiration into physical form, to create a bridge between the worlds of magic and matter.

Over the last 5 years Linzy has become deeply inspired by the visions in her dreams of the Rising of the Divine Feminine. Immersing herself in women’s mysteries, ancestral and personal healing that has opened a new level of creativity. Linzy has found great joy in painting the Divine in Her many faces and forms, a joy she is so excited to finally share ~ in guiding others through Painting The Divine Within.

Materials

~ Acrylic Paint: Linzy will be demonstrating with Liquitex Basics Acrylic as shown above. You can use this brand or any acrylic brand that calls to you: Titanium White, Unbleached Titanium, Silver, Gold, Alizarin Crimson Hue, Primary Red, Primary Yellow, Bright Aqua Green, Hooker's Green Hue Permanent, Ultramarine Blue, Cobalt Blue, Light Blue Permanent, Violet, Dioxazine Purple, Burnt Umber, Raw Sienna, Mars Black and any other colours that call to you.

~ At least 2 practice canvases 16x20 or larger

~ Gold Leaf and Metallic Leaf Adhesive Size

~ Modeling Paste Gel Medium Liquitex or other brand 237ml

~Pallet knife and Paint Brushes: a 3inch pallet knife and soft synthetic paintbrushes (student grade is perfect). A large 1.5 inch wide (filbert or flat style) brush. A teeny tiny brush for fine details, and a handful of sizes in between both flat and round (filbert) shape. You will receive photos and more details about materials upon registration.
